The Right Question.
The AI-era judgment keynote, by someone who has built, backed, and exited it.
Angel Gambino is a keynote speaker for leaders, investors, and boards making sharper decisions in the AI era. Her talks combine executive judgment, investor pattern recognition, and communication frameworks built for high-stakes audiences. Topics span AI leadership, executive communication, capital across cycles, behavioral science, and presence under pressure.
A framework they use Monday. A feeling the room remembers.

Voices from the rooms
ACA SUMMIT 2026 · WESTMINSTER
“When Angel keynoted the ACA Summit, the room took home more than another exit story. She gave investors and founders a working framework for the kind of judgment this moment requires. She has a knack for hearing what the room is not saying out loud, and for asking the questions most people are avoiding. Audiences leave moved, and with something they will use immediately. One investor told me they took six pages of notes during her keynote. That is rare. It is exactly what capital allocation in the AI era demands.”
Marcia Dawood
Chair, SEC Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee Managing Director, Golden Seeds Chair Emeritus, Angel Capital Association
EBAN CONGRESS 2026 · VILNIUS
“‘Conviction before consensus.’ That is the phrase every EBAN Congress participant took home from Angel Gambino’s keynote. In Vilnius, she held a room full of seasoned investors completely still, sharing how she backed Detroit when others were writing the city off, driven by alignment with her own values before any financial logic. She spoke about deals that fell apart not because of bad numbers, but because of internal misalignment, and it reframed how I think about due diligence entirely. The moderator had to stop her when she went over time. Nobody in the room minded. By the end, the consensus was that we wanted more.”

LOGIN 2026 · VILNIUS
“‘Conviction before consensus.’ Three words Angel Gambino said at LOGIN. Three words that explain every community worth building. What stays with me isn’t just the recognition. It’s the reminder that startup ecosystems can inspire each other across cities, countries, and continents. That’s how communities grow: by sharing experience, challenging each other, and believing that great things can be built wherever founders feel supported and connected.”
Darius Žakaitis
Founder, TechZity (Vilnius) On the LOGIN 2026 panel
Presence. Trust. Taste.
What endures when everything else is replaceable.
In the AI era, judgment becomes infrastructure.
THE NAMED PRACTICE
The Right Question.
Listen for what the room is not yet saying.
Earn the trust to ask what most people avoid.
Name the question that unlocks the decision.
Most rooms are solving the wrong problem. The leverage sits underneath it.
The brief says fix pipeline. Underneath, it’s a pricing assumption the team has been protecting. Name that question and the next ninety days reorganize themselves.
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW
AI is flattening information advantages. The next premium is discernment under pressure.
Models are converging. Information edges are dissolving.
Most organizations are over-optimizing for tools and under-investing in judgment.
AI flattens competence theater faster than it flattens competence.
The winners will not be the loudest adopters.
They will be the teams that ask better questions faster.
WHAT CHANGES AFTER THE ROOM
The commercial outcome a booking team can justify internally.
Sharper executive alignment on the question actually being decided.
Clearer AI positioning that survives the next product cycle.
Stronger founder-investor and board communication under pressure.
Faster trust formation in rooms that previously stalled.
A repeatable practice for naming the question before the decision hardens.
Led BAFTA and BRIT award-winning teams at MTV Networks and the BBC. A 2026 keynote speaker at the ACA Angel Investing Summit and the EBAN Congress. Direct AI-executive experience as former CEO of Sensai (machine learning company) and former CPO of Ellipsis Health. From private boardrooms of twelve Fortune 500 directors, to in-person audiences of 175 to 2,000+, to virtual events with 5,000+ live attendees. Keynote, fireside, panel moderator, host, co-host, emcee. Every talk built for the specific audience.

SIGNATURE TALKS

Flagship talks
FLAGSHIP · 01
AI: Presence. Trust. Taste.
Lane
Strategic systems. AI, capital, growth, and the operating logic of advantage when models commoditize.
Best For
Enterprise leadership teams, boards, AI and technology conferences, investor summits
Takeaway
How to compete when AI models commoditize and judgment becomes the moat. A framework for capital allocation, partnerships, and growth decisions in the AI era.
Formats
30 to 60 min keynote, 90-min workshop
When every company has the same models, the advantage stops being the technology and starts being what Angel calls the three durable assets: presence in the room when it matters, trust in how the work gets built, and taste in what to build at all. Draws on $2B+ in exits, $1B+ P&L at MTV/Viacom/Paramount across Viacom’s global expansion era, 1,000+ startups, and direct AI-executive experience as former CEO of Sensai and former CPO of Ellipsis Health (an AI platform detecting mental-health conditions from voice signal).

Lane
Executive decision-making. How investors, founders, and senior leaders form, hold, and act on conviction in high-stakes rooms where the right answer is not yet obvious to everyone.
Best For
Executive teams, boards, founder cohorts, CEO peer groups, leadership offsites, family-office summits, investor convenings
Takeaway
A working practice for forming conviction before the room aligns. How to distinguish the question that needs more data from the question that needs a decision. Why consensus-first leadership is the slowest path to the right answer, and what to do instead.
Formats
30 to 60 min keynote, half-day workshop, board-level facilitation
Most leaders confuse conviction with confidence. They wait for consensus before they commit, then call the result a decision. Real conviction is forming a sharp answer before the room agrees, and earning the room to it. The keynote frames the practice. How to recognize when consensus is doing the work of conviction and when it is buying cover. How to ask the question that surfaces the unsaid disagreement. How to act when the data is incomplete but the call is yours. Anchored in three decades of operating receipts: boards facing exits, founders deciding whether to ship, CEOs choosing the partnership that closes the year. The framework Angel uses with the leaders she advises through the calls that cannot be reversed.
FLAGSHIP · 03
The body of the decision.
Lane
Embodied judgment. The neuroscience and somatic practice that makes high-stakes decisions possible at all.
Best For
Executive teams and boards, board offsites during strategic pivots, healthcare leadership summits, longevity conferences, behavioral health convenings, conscious leadership programs, frontier neuroscience gatherings, women’s leadership programs
Takeaway
A working practice for making sharper decisions in over-stimulated rooms. How nervous system regulation precedes judgment. Why the body knows the call before the mind does. The specific pre-room ritual to use before the next high-stakes call.
Formats
30 to 60 min keynote, half-day workshop, board-level facilitation
Most decision frameworks assume the decision-maker is a brain. The neuroscience says otherwise. The regulated nervous system is where judgment actually happens. When the system is regulated, the right call lands clean. When it is dysregulated by an over-stimulated room, by pressure, by AI-era information overload, the wrong calls feel reasonable. The keynote frames the body as the infrastructure of judgment. Anchored in three decades of operating receipts, CIIS scholarship, PsyMed advisory work, and the TEDx methodology stack. Leaders leave with the pre-room ritual, the pre-decision somatic check, and the after-action regulation practice that distinguishes the leaders who hold their ground from the ones who drift into consensus.

TEDx Mastering Communication for Real Connection . 263,000+ views. The talk every other talk descends from.
Lane
Embodied leadership. Nervous-system-grade executive communication and the somatic craft of showing up aligned.
Best For
Leadership offsites, executive programs, women’s leadership events, TEDx-style stages, board retreats, communication intensives
Takeaway
A practical framework for showing up with alignment, clarity, and conviction in high-stakes moments. Somatic Speaking and the Three-Beat Technique applied live.
Formats
20-min talk, 45-min keynote, half-day workshop
When AI can generate language, the premium shifts to presence. Angel teaches leaders to communicate from alignment rather than anxiety using her Somatic Speaking™ methodology and Three-Beat Technique™. Backed by her tenure as CPO of Ellipsis Health and her Board Trustee role at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Full methodology at bethevessel.com.

Built It. Backed It. Exited It.
Best For
Founder communities, angel groups, accelerators, family offices, investor summits
Takeaway
What actually earns investor conviction, and where founder-investor alignment breaks down
Formats
45-min keynote, 2-hour masterclass
Fundraising is not about pitching harder; it is about earning conviction. Delivered as the 2026 ACA Angel Investing Summit keynote Built It. Backed It. Exited It.: An Angel’s Playbook for Liquidity in the Age of AI . Framework: taste, trust, and the right incentives.
Additional talks, customized for specific audiences
06
Be Detroitish: The Case for Place-Based Investing.
For: Civic investors, family offices, corporate venture, government and economic development congresses/45min keynote
In 2011 Angel acquired several city blocks in Corktown years before Detroit’s comeback narrative took hold and transformed them into triple-bottom-line profitable businesses. In 2018 Ford acquired the site to contribute to its Michigan Central mobility campus. A case study in place-based investing, civic instinct, and getting ahead of a narrative.
Audience walks away with a framework for evaluating place-based opportunities, and what national investors typically miss about local dynamics.
08
How to Build a Better Operating System for Judgment.
For: Executive teams, boards, AI and tech leadership, investor groups/45min keynote, half-day workshop
AI did not remove decision-making. It made bad decisions faster. The advantage is no longer access to information; it is judgment under pressure. Angel teaches leaders how to build a personal and team operating system for judgment: the prep before the boardroom, the calibration during, and the after-action that strengthens over years. Drawn from three decades operating, investing, and advising at moments where the cost of being wrong was steep.
Audience walks away with a usable operating system for high-stakes judgment, including the pre-room ritual Angel uses before board meetings and term-sheet calls, and the afteraction protocol that turns one decision into a thousand.
10
Capital Across Cycles: M&A Mastery for the AI Era.
For: Founders cohorts at series A through C, CEO peer groups, board offsites, family offices, allocator forums, growth-stage CEOs preparing the next raise/45 to 60 min keynote, 2-hour masterclass
Most fundraising advice ages badly because it teaches tactics for a market that no longer exists. Angel teaches capital formation as a strategy across cycles: the thesis the round is built on, the investor archetypes that map to it, the narrative the deck rests on top of, and the trust architecture that carries across follow-on rounds. Live deal-flow context from Senior Advisor seats at PsyMed Ventures (focused on fundraising and growth) and Nfluence Partners (mission-driven companies). Drawn from 1,000+ startup touchpoints and the Angel Club allocator network of 8,000+ founders and 411 investors in the network.
Audience leaves with a working fundraising operating system: how to choose the right investors instead of all of them, how to write a narrative that travels in their absence, and how to build trust before the term sheet so the next round is half-closed before it opens.
12
Cold to Connected: The Architecture of Strategic Relationships.
For: Founder communities, sales and business development leadership, executive networking events, leadership offsites, women's leadership programs, accelerator capstones, conference openers, partnerships and ecosystem leaders/30 to 60 min keynote, 90-min workshop, full-day masterclass
Relationship architecture is Angel’s quietest superpower and the engine behind everything else: Angel Club (411+ investors in the network, 8,000+ Angel Club founders, 10,000+ newsletter subscribers, 500+ active WhatsApp signal group), the Investor Jeffersonian Dinner Series at Human+Tech Week, and the warm-introduction economy that has moved billions of dollars in capital and dozens of M&A processes. The keynote translates the TEDx Mastering Communication for Real Connection (263k+ views) into the operating practice: how a cold conversation becomes a connected one, how connected ones become trusted ones, and how trusted ones build into networks that move capital, careers, and category positioning across decades.
Audience leaves with the three-move framework for moving any cold conversation toward genuine connection, the relationshiparchitecture playbook drawn from Angel Club, and a way to audit who is actually in their network versus who is in their contacts.
07
Brave Enough to Build: Inclusive Leadership as an Operational Lever.
For: Leadership teams, boards, women's leadership forums, global organizations/45min keynote.
The operational case for inclusion, not the values statement. Angel has built and led businesses across three continents. The data makes the case before she does: BCG/MassChallenge found women-founded startups generate 78¢ per dollar invested vs. 31¢. Research on neurodiversity from JPMorgan, SAP, Microsoft, and Deloitte shows neurodivergent teams outperform on complex problem-solving and pattern recognition.
Audience walks away with three inclusion practices that measurably improve team decision quality, and the operational moves that made Angel's teams at MTV, AWS, Napster, and Westfield ship differently than their peers.
09
Consciousness, AI, and the Frontier of Human Health.
For: psychedelic and integrative-health convenings, consciousness research forums, transformational leadership offsites, AI-and-meaning conferences, contemplative-tech events / 30 to 60 min keynote, fireside chat, Jeffersonian dinner facilitation
Consciousness research is no longer at the margin. It sits at the intersection of frontier mental health, psychedelic-assisted therapy, brain-health AI, and the questions about agency, meaning, and presence that Human-Centered AI cannot route around. Angel speaks from inside the work, with a frame anchored in ethics, evidence thresholds, clinical caution, and deployment risk: Board Trustee at the California Institute of Integral Studies, an accredited graduate institution where her focus is mission and sustainability of mental health and wellbeing, consciousness, and psychedelic studies and research. Senior Advisor at PsyMed Ventures across frontier brain, mental, and behavioral health. Former Chief Product Officer of Ellipsis Health, a voice-biomarker AI for depression and anxiety that piloted with Cigna and Headspace. The talk lands where most consciousness conversations stop and the operational ones begin: what to fund, what to build, what to refuse. Serious frontier thinker, not wellness-adjacent influencer.
Audience leaves with a working frame for evaluating consciousness-adjacent ventures and research, and the questions that separate signal from spectacle in the AI-meetsconsciousness conversation.
11
M&A Mastery: Position, Prepare, Pitch for Acquisition.
For: Growth-stage CEOs, boards, corporate development teams, family offices and PE portfolio leadership navigating exits/45 to 60 min keynote. Half-day workshop
Exits get written long before the LOI lands. Angel has led or participated in $2B+ in M&A across Napster, Bebo, and global media, and now advises growth-stage CEOs and boards on positioning, preparation, and the run-up through her Senior Advisor seat at Nfluence Partners. The keynote frames acquisition as the result of years of disciplined narrative, relationship, and operating moves, not a last-mile sprint. Audience leaves with the three conditions every acquirer looks for but few sellers engineer, and how to run a process that creates competitive tension without leaking.
Audience leaves with the M&A readiness diagnostic Angel uses with boards, the three conditions every acquirer looks for, and the run-of-show for a process that creates competitive tension without leaking.

WORKSHOP · HALF-DAY OR 2-DAY INTENSIVE
The Right Question.
For: founder cohorts, leadership teams, board offsites, accelerator capstones
Participants leave with the discipline to find the question the room is not yet saying, and the courage to ask it. The through-line named practice across Angel's work.
CONVENED FORMAT · EVENING, OR DINNER PLUS FOLLOWING-DAY SESSION
Jeffersonian dinners for teams.
For: Leadership teams, boards, founder + investor cohorts, AI and tech leadership groups, corporate offsites, global nonprofit councils/12 seats per table, scaled to multiple tables with Angel's team of facilitators when the room is larger
A facilitated Jeffersonian dinner is one conversation, not many. One question on the table. Every voice routed through the host. No phones, no decks, no performance. Angel co-convenes and facilitates the Investor Jeffersonian Dinner Series on Human-Centered AI at Human+Tech Week, and facilitates private dinners with and for teams on the decisions they cannot have around the boardroom table: AI integration, leadership transitions, M&A rationale, category strategy, mission alignment under pressure. Tables hold twelve. For larger convenings, Angel co-convenes and facilitates the host table and scales with a team of trained facilitators on parallel tables, with a closing plenary that surfaces the questions across the gathering. Optional second-day session converts the dinner’s surfaced questions into a written set of decisions.
The team leaves aligned around the question that actually matters, with the trust earned to act on it. Confidentiality assumed. Chatham House rule on by default.
Bespoke commissions. Stage architecture, written for your audience.
MADE TO ORDER
A talk written for you. Not adapted from someone else’s.
For: organizations with a specific inflection point, board moment, category shift, or once-a-year convening / 30 to 60 min keynote, fireside, workshop
Every talk Angel delivers is tailored to the specific audience. Some are commissioned from scratch. If the room is facing a decision the existing keynotes don’t meet, a merger, a funding environment shift, a leadership transition, a category you’re defining, a strategic pivot under board pressure, Angel will build the talk around it. Discovery begins with a 60-minute working session with your team and, where relevant, one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders. The deliverable is a keynote that could not have been given to anyone else.
Audience walks away with a framework built for their exact decision, not a translation of someone else’s. Lead time: 6 to 10 weeks recommended. Subject to availability.
WHY BOOK ANGEL
Most keynote speakers optimize for applause. Angel optimizesfor decisions.
WHERE ANGEL SPEAKS
Five rooms. Five different decisions on the line.
Angel keynotes for organizations whose specific audience comes for a specific kind of clarity. The framework adapts. The discipline does not.
LANE 01
Large corporations, global nonprofits, and leadership offsites
Fortune 500 boards, growth-stage C-suites, executive offsites, industry councils, foundation summits, government and policy congresses, global advocacy councils
For teams that have hit a ceiling strategy alone cannot break, and institutions translating research, policy, and AI into practice. Leaders leave aligned around the real question, not the surface one.
LANE 03
Health, longevity, and human potential conferences
Behavioral science and mental health convenings, AI policy forums, healthcare leadership summits, frontier neuroscience conferences, longevity gatherings, psychedelic studies retreats, corporate wellness offsites, wellness tech investor summits, employee wellbeing programs
For institutions translating research, policy, and AI into practice across brain health, mental health, and behavioral health. Leaders leave with a frame for human-centered AI and the regulatory pressure points worth naming now.
LANE 05
Investor forums and capital convenings
ACA Angel Investing Summit, EBAN Congress, syndicate days, family office summits, LP gatherings
LPs and GPs leave with sharper signal on what AI commoditizes, what becomes premium, and where the next decade of returns actually sits.
LANE 02
AI, tech, and startup summits
Web Summit, AI engineering summits, builder communities, tech accelerators, demo days, founder retreats, Angel Club convenings
For executives and founders inside the AI wave, not watching from outside. Technical rooms leave with judgment, taste, and trust as the new infrastructure. Founders leave with a decision framework before the raise.
LANE 04
Sports, media, music, entertainment, and culture stages
TEDx, BAFTA-adjacent convenings, sports leadership forums, music industry summits, entertainment company offsites, women in leadership summits, alumni networks
Where the audience comes for meaning, not metrics. Crowds leave understanding why presence, trust, and taste endure across cycles when everything else flattens.
Speaking calendar is held for a small number of stages each year. The conversation starts before the calendar closes.

AI flattens competence theater faster than it flattens competence.
THE NEXT PREMIUM IS THE TEAM THAT CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE
FROM ANGEL
A note to the organizer reading this.
I do not think of myself as a speaker. I think of myself as a partner for your event. Someone whose job is to make your audience leave with a decision they could not have made before walking in.
Most rooms already know the answer. They just have not said it out loud yet.
I grew up in Corktown, the oldest neighborhood in Detroit. I learned early that the difference between a room you walk into easily and a room you have to earn your way into is mostly that someone, at some point, decided what the door was made of. Every room I have spoken in seriously since, I have walked in remembering that.
I have been in rooms where the wrong decision cost millions. Usually the signal was visible much earlier. The cost is not the mistake. It is the conversation that no one wanted to have.
At Bebo in 2008, we had a US partnership ready to sign and a UK board ready to vote it down. The deal that closed three weeks later was not the one on the table that Tuesday. The decision that mattered was made at a kitchen table in Hammersmith on a Saturday morning. I have been on the wrong side of that call before. More than once. It is the reason I pay attention to what gets said after the meeting ends.
AI flattens competence theater faster than it flattens competence. The next premium is the team that can tell the difference.
In one boardroom, the company thought it had a pricing problem. It had an incentives problem. Three months later the question had changed.
Whether you are bringing thousands of founders to SXSW or twelve Fortune 500 directors to a private dinner, I tailor every keynote to your organization's actual goals. I spend time with your team before I ever step on the stage. I never deliver the same talk twice.
If the moment is specific enough, a once-a-year convening, a board offsite during a strategic pivot, a summit you have been building for a year, I will write the talk from scratch. That begins with a working session with your team and, where useful, interviews with the people closest to the decision. The result is a keynote that could not have been delivered to anyone else. You tell me what the room needs to leave believing. I build the rest.
I promise both. The feeling your audience will carry with them, and the framework they will use long after the applause stops.
