The Right Question.

Built it. Backed it. Exited it.

MANIFESTO

Presence. Trust. Taste.

What endures when everything else is replaceable.

THE THREAD

What looks like one career, told from inside.

A career like this can read like a list. Public-interest law. Professional football. The Olympics. Senior leadership at the BBC, MTV, Paramount, Napster, Bebo, AWS. Founder of five companies. Backed or advised 1,000+ startups. Senior Advisor at PsyMed Ventures and Nfluence Partners. Detroit, London, Milan, San Francisco. The list is true. It is also incomplete.

What holds it together is the work, not the title. Angel builds infrastructure for human potential, then teaches the leaders gathered around it how to make better decisions inside it.

The shape of the company changes. The job does not.

"I'm not switching seats. I'm doing the same work at different altitudes."

ANGEL GAMBINO
THE PRACTICE

Executive. Investor. Advisor. The same job in three seats.

People ask Angel which seat she prefers. The honest answer is that she does not experience them as different.

The executive seat sharpens decisions inside the company. The investor seat sharpens decisions about which company to build. The advisor seat sharpens decisions before they harden into strategy. Across all three, the work is the same: name the question others cannot see yet, earn the trust to ask it out loud, and compound the answer through good incentive design.

What is rare is the combination. Executive scar tissue. Investor pattern recognition. Cultural fluency across institutions that shape how a generation decides.

She founded Angel Club, a private global community of 8,000+ founders and 411 investors in the network. She is Senior Advisor at PsyMed Ventures (frontier brain health, mental health, and behavioral health) and Nfluence Partners (the growth-stage investment bank, focused on mission-driven companies). She holds board roles at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Audible Reality, The Sensational League, and Global Goals. She co-convenes the Investor Jeffersonian Dinner Series on Human-Centered AI at Human+Tech Week.

The executive track, in detail, lives on the Executive page.

THE PRACTICE

Inside the institutions that shape how a generation decides.

2026-05-29 18_44_43.705+0300.jpg

Angel's executive career runs through institutions that decide what a generation listens to, watches, buys, and backs. She held senior commercial and growth seats at the BBC, MTV/Viacom/Paramount, Napster, Bebo, Sonico, Westfield Shoppingtowns, and Castrol Lubricants. At MTV Networks and Viacom, during Viacom's global expansion era, she led international strategy, digital production and distribution, and commercial growth across international brands, overseeing a regional media business across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic markets estimated at $300M+ in annual revenue with 40%+ operating margins. Aggregate P&L across the arc exceeded one billion dollars. At Napster, she was Chief Commercial Officer. At Bebo, VP of Music and Content. At AWS, Principal of Startups before AI was a category.

She has been on the founding teams of five companies. Gameplay went public. Sensai, where she was Founder and CEO, built machine learning for personalization. Ellipsis Health, where she was Chief Product Officer, built voice biomarker AI for depression and anxiety screening, piloted with Cigna and Headspace. As Partner at venture studios that built BarkBox (Co-Created) and Ro (Prehype), she worked alongside teams shipping category-defining businesses. She has led or participated in over two billion dollars in M&A exits across media and technology.

In 2011 she bought a brass factory on Rosa Parks Boulevard in Detroit before Corktown was Corktown. The Ford acquisition came in 2018. The decision that mattered was not the 2011 purchase. It was a Saturday morning in 2013 when the property was bleeding cash and a Detroit-based partner said keep going. She almost did not.

In parallel, she played for Queen's Park Rangers in the English Premier League and was tournament manager for the U.S. Women's National Team at the London 2012 Olympics. The gold went home with the team.

Led BAFTA and BRIT award-winning teams at MTV Networks and the BBC. WIRED UK Top 100 (2010). Receipts the next decade will read forward.

"Every room I have walked into seriously, I had to earn. That stays with you. It's the reason I can read a room before I speak."

FROM THE SUMMIT

What ACA said.

“Selecting the flagship Summit keynote is one of the most consequential programming decisions the Angel Capital Association makes each year. Our members are accredited investors with decades of operating and capital experience, and they read through people fast. Angel Gambino delivered. She brought genuine executive and investor credibility, a real respect for where our community actually is in 2026, and a generosity in conversation that lifted the room for the rest of the Summit. The post-event feedback was among the strongest we have received. She is the kind of voice this community needs more of, especially as capital allocation and AI continue to converge.”

THE THROUGH-THESIS

AI, capital, and human connection.

Angel's work sits at the intersection of three forces: artificial intelligence, the capital flowing through it, and the question of whether either compounds or extracts human potential.

Her bet: as models converge and information flattens, the premium shifts to what AI cannot perform. The advantage lies in showing up aligned, earning the boardroom across the cycle, and knowing what and who to keep, refuse, and release.

In the AI era, judgment becomes infrastructure. This is the architecture of human potential.
